It doesn’t matter if you don’t know who Nieves Alvarez is or have even heard of Stéphane Rolland Haute Couture. Stop what you’re doing and look at this dress.
Spanish model and television presenter Nieves Alvarez arrived on the red carpet of the 2022 Goya Cinema Awards and made one thing clear: she and stylist Victor Blanco came to slay. And slay she did!

The gown features an abstract illusion bodice, with a large black circle giving very geometric modesty (and a nude mesh open back because when Alvarez looks this fantastic at 47, why not?!).
It almost gives the appearance that the dress has been censored, a fantastic optical illusion that could be interpreted as a political statement… but we’re not going to think too hard about that today.
The gown adds a bit of glitz with a jeweled belt at the natural waist before going full drama with a fitted white skirt that explodes into a gorgeous volume-filled bubble bustle.

Nieves Alvarez kept her hair sleek and loose, adding to the modernity of the look and (mostly) letting the dress speak for itself.
Some fashion critics think the duo’s addition of Bvlgari uber-sparkly gems may be overkill, but we love them. She’s been an ambassador for the prestigious Italian jewelry brand for several years.
The earrings make Alvarez look chiseled and the thick bangles scream “luxury”. Plus, we love the addition of the dark ring complimenting her nails, giving the classy and beautiful outfit a touch of edge.
Lastly, we’d like to give a shoutout to Alvarez’s natural-length nails. As much as we love dramatic acrylics, the choice to keep it understated with the nails tied everything together without being too busy.
